This WP focuses on analysing the environmental data (soil profiles and climatical data) collected for this project. Thus, two main activities will be performed:
(i) Soil profile analysis in order to assess the percentage of slime, sand, and argil (using the Hydrometer method). In addition, for each of the sampled profiles, alternative chemical elements (i.e. Ca, K, Mg, Na) and CEC will be calculated using the Ammonium Acitate method. The organic matter percentage will be calculated using the Dichromate method, and total Nitrogen percentage will be calculated using Kjeldahl Nitrogen with salicylic acid. Finally, for each sampled soil profile, the density, humidity and pH will also be estimated.
(ii) Meteorological data analysis: Air and soil (in the depth of 5 cm) temperature and humidity will be recorded.
These data will be recorded automatically from the meteorological stations on a daily basis, thus allowing the estimation of maximum-
Both of these data sets will be used as ecological indexes for the different locations' and could be linked to the local genetic and morphological adaptation. This will enable the investigation of possible fine-
