Improving lowland forest habitats for Birds in Cyprus (LIFE13 NAT/CY/000176)

Department of Forests (Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment), Cyprus Forest Association, Frederick University.

Project's Main Objective: The objective of the project is to ensure the medium and long–term preservation of the priority habitat type 9590 *Cedrus brevifolia forests in good conservation status, in the only Natura 2000 site (CY2000008) it occurs in Cyprus and in Europe, by implementing a range of carefully planned management measures that will mitigate all negative impacts of the major threats of the habitat.
